We're updating our directory for publication. I've figured out how to fix some of the errors that occur (especially duplication of names), but there is one I haven't been able to do and that is:
How do I eliminate a spouse who is now deceased (& marked as such in their personal profile) to NOT show up in the directory or mailouts. I did mark his personal profile to not receive mailouts also. Do I need to delete them completely from the system? And what about a deceased member that is single who their estate would need a printout of contributions for that year?

I'm assuming v11+ here. I forget how v10.4 does this.Oceancity M wrote:We're updating our directory for publication. I've figured out how to fix some of the errors that occur (especially duplication of names), but there is one I haven't been able to do and that is:

When you select the directory, after you get the screen that asks what type of directory you want to use (classic, detailed, etc), you should get a screen that asks what profiles do you want to include. You then select the profile status, both Family Mailing List and Personal Profiles, you want to include. Under personal profiles, you make sure that the deceased status is not selected.
As far as the estate issue, what we do is change the Mailing List profile to reflect "The Estate of ..." on their mailing information. We uncheck the 'include address' box on the mailing list, and change the Mailing List status to deceased along with the personal profile.
When doing normal processing (newsletters, etc) we do not include the mailing list profile of deceased as one selected. At the end of the year, we do include the personal status of deceased when printing contributions.
