Deleting Photos
We are doing a new pictorial directory using our own photos. I want to delete all the photos currently associated with family/personal profiles. Do I have to delete them individually? Please say no...

Well, you DON'T have to delete the photos, you probably have to individually attach the new photos, right ?? In which case, just replace what is there with the new one.

For very many reasons, it's going to be better to start from scratch.

Well, there is no programmatic way to delete the photos.
Here's what you can try, it may work:
1. Do a full backup of the database using the Powerchurch backup
2. Delete everything in the \powerchurch\pcplusxx\data\pictures directory.
3. Start up the program, and try to access a picture page. If you can without the system throwing an error or aborting, you're set.
However, if it does error or abort, well there's not much else to do but restore the database, then manually access every picture page and delete the picture.

Re: Deleting Photos
I think PowerChurch Plus Versions 9 and higher will allow you to delete everything from the Pictures directory without causing an error. Prior to that, the program would crash if it didn't find the default "No Photo" images in there.

So, what I did was:NeilZ wrote:

1. Renamed the \powerchurch\pcplus11\data\pictures folder to pictures1
2. Created a new folder \powerchurch\pcplus11\data\pictures
3. Copied the default "no photo" photos into the new folder
When I started up PowerChurch, I had no issues with error messages. It worked very well.
Thanks for all your help!
