Labels

Post by northside »

I am looking to do labels for every family that has a child in the 6-12 grade.
What is the best way to do that?

Thanks!

If you already have these kids assigned to an Activity (Sunday School by year, Senior High youth, etc) you can run the labels from the Activity & Skills module Print Mailing Labels -> Parents of Selected Activities & Skills function.

If not, then its a bit harder as you don't have the built-in filters that you would in the previous suggestion. There's a few methods to do this, one seems harder, but may actually be easier to do quickly.

1st suggestion: Run the Personal Profile report Birth Dates in Age Groups this will get you a list of all those in the age range you want. Then you would select the Mailing List profile for each parent, and TAG it. Then run the Mailing Labels function under the Family Mailing List module using the TAGGED filter.

2nd suggestion: This would be much harder and more time consuming initially, but then you'd have the report to use again in future. Create a custom report to pull the data using the Custom Report function under Personal Profiles. Again, this involves a lot of trial and error, and if you're not familiar with creating custom reports, it'll take a while.

3rd suggestion: Powerchurch offers a custom report creation service. For a fee, they will create a custom report for you.
