Background Report
When we print the report "Adults with Background Checks" through the PowerChurch Membership/Personal Profiles/Reports - Personal Profiles menu list, what we get is a list of people who have had a request submitted for a background check, not just those who have actually had a background check performed. In the process to get a background check performed on an individual, a request is submitted through the "Add Background Check" button in PowerChurch, the Protect My Ministry organization then sends an email to the individual providing a link to Protect My Ministry program to enter personal information for the background check. Once the individual submits their information and the background check has been completed, the requestor for the background check receives an email notification from Protect My Ministry that the background check report is available. The requestor can then go on PowerChurch through the Personal Profile menu and view the background check report. If the individual does not submit their information to Protect My Ministry, no report will be generated and no email from Protect My Ministry is generated indicating the report is available. But when the report "Adults with Background Checks" is printed, it shows those individuals from whom information has been requested but who did not submit their information to Protect My Ministry and, therefore, no background check was performed. Is there something else that needs to be done to generate a report "Adults with Background Checks" that lists only those individuals that have actually had a background check performed?
Re: Background Report
Since you use Protect Your Ministry, when you click the "Add" button it should trigger your browser to connect to their website, does it also enter a date at the same time?kirkre wrote:..... I have to ask, as we do our checks in PA direct through the state. When we get the info back (usually within minutes) we click on the add button and it enters the current date.
The report is triggered on that date, so if there's a date present, data is pulled.

Re: Background Report
Yes, when you select the "Add Background Check" in PowerChurch a date is entered in the "Last Checked" box and that date is the one that shows up on the PowerChurch report titled "Adults with Background Checks." When you select the button on the personal profile screen for an individual that has not completed their information, you are transferred to a web page veritysecure.com and you get the message "There are no reports ready yet for candidate id of ______." When you select "View Background Check" for those individuals that completed their information, the background report is downloaded from the same web page.
Re: Background Report
So, it if it adds the date when you're using the Protect My Ministry service, that sounds like it shouldn't be happening until an actual background check is done.kirkre wrote:Yes, when you select the "Add Background Check" in PowerChurch a date is entered in the "Last Checked" box and that date is the one that shows up on the PowerChurch report titled "Adults with Background Checks." I'll get a Powerchurch programmer to look at this thread first thing in the morning.

Re: Background Report
On the PowerChurch side of things, we don't have a direct pathway to the actual background check in Protect My Ministry. We are just storing the date the background check was requested. If the actual background check was never completed, you can delete the date from that field.
