Some records duplicated in conversion to v10

I have just updated to v10, and I find that some of the family and profile records occur more than once. On inspection, it appears that previous copies of a record were not deleted when they were modified (e.g. a corrected address shows in one, the previous address shows in the other).
Some records show up three or four times.
Any suggestions on what to do here?

Did you reindex before you upgraded to V10?? If not do a reindex then do the update again.

As Tom said, try a reindex in Version 9 then do the conversion again. The easiest way to do this is to uninstall Version 10, then delete the folders and subfolders. Then reinstall.

Well that worked, phew!
Was there a recommendation to that effect that i missed somewhere? It sure isn't on pages 5-7 of the user's manual.
I would think that that recommendation should be shown loud and clear when you select "I want to upgrade from a previous version".
I'll send a message to wishlist.

Thanks, John

The need for a reindex of v9 files before converting to 10 was a problem in the conversion process. It's not documented in the manual, because it shouldn't work that way.

We have resolved the issue in the conversion process, so anyone who has purchased v10 in the last week won't have that problem!
