New and Can't find an answer to dates for Personal Profiles

I'm trying to manually enter our data base and within the personal profile area we have the tab for Dates / Codes. Is there anyway to enter partial dates. Many of our members only gave years OR month and day. I hate to lose the information I do have, but seem unable to tap dance around the Invalid Date message.
Any help available?
Thank you for your consideration,

FWIW ... there is no way to get around those missing years, or days. So, what I usually do is this:
If they only give a month and day for something, I'll enter 1900 as the year. It messes up the age if shown, but the 1900 is a date that would be quite unusual for a baptism or confirmation, etc. The main point is getting the date in the system, so that when you do birthday or anniversaries, you have something which you can use to search database for. IE: Birthdays in May, anniversaries in June, etc.
Now, if all I get for some dates are month and year (usually this is for baptisms) I always use the 1st of the month as the day. Again, this may not be totally correct, but its close enough for use.
Hope this helps.
