mailing labels

Post by bcheffer »

When using the stock template for labels and the Avery 5160, the addresses run over their individual label so that by the end of the page the City,State information is printing on the label below that. When looking at the custom label setup, there are five lines for addresses, we only have three lines, should I delete one or two lines from the setup? Beth

You could, but that would cause other issues if you have four lines of input like this:

Mr Joe Smith
Apt 3b
102 First St
Anytown VA 15227

You could lose the last line.

What you can do in the custom report is this, edit the layout and adjust the fonts.

Using the mouse select all five lines you want to adjust the font on. Then head to the menu bar for the FORMAT menu, you should see FONT on that menu. Select that, and you'll be given a standard Windows font dialogue screen where you can select font, font size, etc.

I seem to remember that we use Ariel, with a font of 12 or 14, which works fine. You can test this prior to printing a set of labels by printing to blank paper then checking the spacing by holding up a sheet of labels with the printed sheet up to a light.

Hope this helps.

Right, what Neilz said... Don't delete them. PowerChurch Plus decides what to print in which fields, Line1 through 5. If you have bar codes printing or if you have the "attention" line printing on the labels, envelope numbers, etc. These are all options that change what prints where.

Use the steps in the Knowledge Base article linked below to customize the mailing label. If everything is printing too low, try adjusting the top margin.
