Mass Update Personal Status Codes

I need to know the fastest and easiest method to mass update Personal Status Codes. We have a Personal Status Code which is more or less a renaming of a simalar PSC and we want to combine the two PSC's into one. Do I want to just go into "Maintaining Custom Codes" and change the unwanted PSC name to match the wanted PSC name exactly?

Go to Maintain Custom Codes, select the one you want to merge into the other one, then click Delete. The program will warn you that people currently have that code assigned and will ask you to choose a different code to assign them. Select the code that you want to keep.
