Alternate Address Table Error

Greetings all,

I have a bit of an issue. Our organization recently lost some PowerChurch data due to electrical problems. We were able to restore (most) of our files from our offsite backup and it appears all information is intact. However, we have a couple error messages that pop-up when launching PowerChurch:

"Error :check_alt_address Table has not index order set."

Followed by:

"Error :updatesetting Table has no index order set."

Once both of these errors have been acknowledged, the program works fine.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks much!

JRM

Did you reindex after copying the files back into place?

Utilities > Reindex > All Files

Hi Zorak,

I did reindex; unfortunately, we still have the problem. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

OK, it sounds like you may need to give us a call for some tech support. The number is (800) 486-1800. We're available 9-6 Eastern, Monday through Friday.

The format of the error messages suggest you are on an older maintenance release.
Would you verify you are on the latest maintenance release and reindex?

Awesome! The MR installation and reindex took care of the errors. Thanks so much!

I have now been informed that unposted contributions are not showing up when you run an Unposted Contributions Report. They do show up when you select Modify Unposted Contributions.

My apologies - I am just a tech consultant and I don't know much about the use of PowerChurch.

I should probably post the new issue under Contributions on the forum.

Thanks again.

Hmmm .... I just did a test here, and I'm not seeing that issue.

I suspect that the developers would need some additional information as to the type of contribution (check, cash, etc) not being seen. Is it a certain contributor that is not being shown, are they filtering out any funds, or envelope number ranges, etc, etc, etc.

It may be a good idea that the person who is actually doing the reports sign up here and enter the report. As you well know, getting trying to fix something through a third person can be frustrating.
