We went thru a Spirtual Gifts study and did a Spiritual Gifts inventory, how do you record Spiritual Gifts for each participants?

You could set those up as skills under activities and skills, then assign the appropriate people to the appropriate skills.

One other question came up last night. In the Logos church management sytem there is a Southern Baptist module that creates the reports that have to be submitted each year. Does Powerchurch have this capablility? I am trying to convince the pastor that there is more function in Powerchurch for the price then Logos and this was one of his concerns. Can data be exported from Powerchurch in a comma delimted file or in some format that can be imported into Access to create custom reports?

You can export data into various formats including CSV. You can also export reports as well.
We don't have any reports aimed towards a specific domination, we've tried to create common reports that all churches can use.

PowerChurch is non-denominational. As far as custom reports go, you do have the option of exporting CSV data for use in Access. Most modules will have an "export data" option. Check those out.

PowerChurch also has a built-in custom reports module. If you're familiar with the Access tools for reporting, the custom reports module should be fairly easy to learn. There is a custom report feature in just about every module. This is probably the ideal solution.

If you want to get really fancy, you could connect to the PowerChurch data files using ODBC. PowerChurch is written in Microsoft FoxPro, and there is an ODBC driver for FoxPro available on their website. If you dont know what that all means, don't worry about it. If you do know what that means, and this seems like a good idea, DO NOT attempt to edit the data files externally. Use them read-only.
