scanning Attendance

I have a Symbol LS2208 USB scanner. We have followed the steps as outlined in the manual (V10). When I try to scan attendance it does not highlight the name and change the status as the manual says. A message appears on the screen saying to hit the enter key. That seems to defeat the purpose. I can mark attendance faster with the arrow keys and enter key than I can the scanner. Any suggestions?

We have published the following article back when barcode scanning was introduced in the program:
http://powerchurch.com/support/answers/ ... ticle_id=8
It explains the scanning requirements for the barcode reader, as well as some methods of testing it.
You certainly should not have to hit enter after every scan!

Thanks,
The scanner checks out according to the testing procedures in the article. It does record the scan in attendance, but it doesn't change the status until you hit enter. I'm looking to see if there is a programming code for the scanner that will insert a carriage return automatically after the scan.

Got it! had to program an "Enter" suffix, now working great.
