Import Excel Info Into PC Member Database

Our CE director emailed me a Microsoft Excel file that was used to manage membership info (names, addresses, phone numbers, birthdays, etc.) for our Wednesday night Children's ministry before we got PowerChurch. She wants to know if there is a "quick and easy" way to do a mass importing of these contacts into our PC member database. Not replace our database, but add these members to it. I've looked, and I can't see a way to do that, but I wanted to check here as well. Thanks.

You can import family mailing information, but as far as birthdays and other individual personal information, there really isn't a way to do that short of having the Powerchurch techs do the conversion.

That said, by importing the family mailing list info, you can then manually add the parent and child info. You can see the exact format needed in the PC+ users guide, or by pressing the F1 key from the Import File function under the Family Mailing List module.

Hope this helps.
