How does the "Only include people that are still members of the activity" option work on the Consecutive Absentee Report?
If I deselect the option, the report shows the correct people with consecutive absences. However, for those who have changed classes (i.e., graduated to the next grade), it lists them in both classes. That makes sense based on the "only include" option. But, when I leave the option selected, my data is wrong. It doesn't include all those who have x number of consecutive absences. At least some of the missing ones are those who have changed classes.
How does this option work? I want it to show those with x number of consecutive absences based on their current class (activity).

Do they still have the old activity listed on their activity list ??

Yes, the old attendance data should still be there, we haven't deleted anything. I don't think the data should be deleted, so that historical attendance records can be kept.
I started to say the secretary just ran the class promotion function, but after asking her she may have added students to the next grade manually. This all raises another question that I'll probably post in another thread ... how does the class promotion work? Before I do though, I'll check the manual, etc., and see if I can find the answer. Can't right now though, as I have to make a hospital visit.

Re: Consecutive absentee report
Removing someone from an activity does not delete their attendance history. It just makes them not show up on the attendance register for you to record *new* attendance for them.tgruver wrote:Yes, the old attendance data should still be there, we haven't deleted anything. It sounds like the people are not members of the activity anymore. Take a look on the Maintain List of Attenders screen, check that activity. Are they listed on the left side of the screen or only on the right?
Re: Consecutive absentee report
I was in a hurry to head out for a hospital visit when I last posted, and wasn't thinking it through. It didn't click that attendance and activity/skills are different data sets and that the attendance data wouldn't be deleted.
Everything else aside though, the "Only include people that are still members of the activity" option just doesn't seem to work. When selected, some names that should appear don't. I think names were manually moved from one class to another instead of being promoted by the function, but I'm not seeing names on the Consecutive Absentee Report that should be there. Some are in the adult classes, and were never moved. Others are in children's classes, but didn't promote.
Am I thinking right in that the above option, when selected, would not include any members that might have dropped from the rolls. And, it would include members that moved from one class to the other in their current class only?
Instead, it seems to selectively include only some members. What gives?
Forgot to add, the missing names are still members of their respectivie activity.
