fast data entry question

When I'm using the fast data entry to enter new attendance, there are duplicate names on the list. I enter on only one of the duplicate names and when I look at the attendance record in the person's profile, there are duplicate dates there. One will be "present" and the other "absent". This is annoying and I don't know how to get rid of all the duplications on the fast data entry list. There were not always these duplications - they started appearing when I was adding old attendance data to profiles using fast data entry. There doesn't seem to be a pattern on who get duplicated or not duplicated. Is there a simple answer to this question? :?

Two things to clear this up.

1. Do a File Reindex on all the database files. This utility is found under the Utility menu.
2. Under the Activities and Skills module, select the Maintain List of Attenders. Find the activity you're taking attendance on, then check the list of persons that are selected as 'attending' that activity. Delete any duplicates you may find.

Not sure why this happened, its not something that has appeared on the forum before.

More than likely, the files have not been reindexed in a long time, I've found that was often the cause of many such problems.
