Hi -- we have just established an office of Youth Deacon, and we want to assign the youth (basically the confirmands) to this Youth Deacon. As far as I can tell, you cannot set a different Deacon for an individual within a family as the "Who Visits" (which is where you put deacons, right?) field is on the "Other Information" tab of the Family/Household.
A few options I can think of --- hoping somebody has a better option!
Move each confirmand to their own profile. I'd rather not do this, as I then have to keep up with address changes, etc. in at least two places for each family. I prefer keeping the individuals in the family.
Use some other field to indicate that they are assigned to the Youth Deacon. I'm looking at creating an Activity called "Assigned to Youth Deacon" and then adding each confirmand to that Activity. Downside to this is that these entries won't be in the "Deacon Report".
I also considered putting this as a "Code" in the Personal Profile setup. This has the same downside as #2.
Other ideas? If not, would you go with #2 or #3? How would you print the info for the Deacons? Run the regular "Deacon Report" and then a separate Activity/Code report and just staple them together? Is there a better way?

Thanks for any ideas you've got!

Frankly, I'd use #3, if you have any open Personal Profile Codes. Yes you have to run a separate report, but its better than creating an activity.
