Using an outside printing service with Version 9

We recently upgraded to version 9 mainly because of the stated ability to import and save high resolution images for better quality printing of a directory. We have a large church directory and decided to use an outside printing service. The service requested a digital file. We used the save as feature and made a MS Word document file. The problem with the save as function is that it does not transfer high resolution photos to the Word document. We would like to send out the file to a printing service rather than printing in house but without high resolution photos this does not work. Does anyone have a suggestion with this? If there is no current solution, please request this ability be put on the wish list for future versions.
