How do I make a profile inactive so that it no longer shows up in the list when I put in contributions?

Anyone who has an envelope number assigned will show up in the lookup lists in Contributions. The only way to remove someone from that list would be to remove their envelope number. When you do that, PowerChurch Plus will move their giving history to an anonymous 99999 envelope number.

You cannot delete a member with contributions until four years after the last contribution has been made. This is an IRS records retention requirement.

The best way to take care of segregating such members is to reassign to a different area in the envelope number series, one that you can exclude from reports.

A way to setup your envelope number system is listed in this thread:

Using PC+ since 1999.
