Error when deleting family & personal record

Post by NeilZ »

I was trying to delete some records. First a personal record, then a family record, and got some errors. First on the individual profile an error popped up, then I clicked OK. Then another popup appeared I clicked cancel, the program closed. However, when I restarted the program the record was deleted.

Then when I tried to delete the family profile I got the following popup:

PROGRAM.FR_AADA.DELETE
LINE: 31
ERROR: 5
Record is out of range.

Clicked on the OK button .. then this popped up.

PROGRAM ERROR
Object OSETTINGS is not found

It had the buttons CANCEL, IGNORE and HELP. However, no matter if I click Cancel or Ignore, the program would close, but the record would not be deleted.

OK .. what's up ??

I have tried to reindex a few times .. nada !! I am also getting an error in the accounting files during the reindex .. I'll post that in the Accounting Forum.

This is a known issue, and should be fixed in the next maintenance release. In the meantime, use this workaround:

If you're deleting a Family Mailing List record, make sure it has at least one Personal Profile attached to it. If you then delete the Family record, the Profile will be deleted as well, and you won't get the error.

Great ... for some reason I got used to deleting all the personal records first, then the family record.
