File does not exist

We are testing the new release (9) of Power Church, and have a problem after converting our 8.5 data base.

I installed the PC CD and them updated it with the Dec 23 maintenance release. I then started it up using the option to convert our existing data base. The conversion worked fine and the covert log showed no errors. I then restarted PC.

When I went to any of the Membership modules, I got an error message and the system ended. For example, if I tried the Integrated Data Entry, I got a pop-up stating that "Program: FRM_AADA.INIT, Line 41, Error 1, Messgae: File does not exist". I tried it with using Family Profiles and got a similar message but with FRM_MEEDIT.INIT and Line 59.

In doing some investigation, I found that I could use other modules with no problem (eg Contributions, Record Keeping, Utilities - we do not use Accounting).

Any suggestions??

You are missing the nophoto.jpg file that should be in your data\pictures folder. You can either reinstall version 9 from the CD, or copy the nophoto*.jpg files from your old copy of powerchurch plus into the pictures folder for version 9.

Did you by chance retrip the data conversion by deleting all the files from the data folder? If you do this, you have to be careful to not delete the pictures folder which is inside the data folder. This could cause the mentioned error.

You must be psychic - that indeed was the problem (and I did trigger the conversion by deleting the contents of the Data folder); I promise I won't do that again. Many thanks
