GCal Sync room designations

Post by uucwadmin »

Is it possible to get the Google Calendar sync to grab more then just the date and time and name of the event from PC+O and stick it in the Google event entries? Specifically, I need the room description to appear somewhere - either in Google's "Where" field or in the Description field. It would also be nice if the Description field from PC+O synced, but the room description is more critical. Our church has multiple meeting rooms and folks do need to know where to go. The ability to sync with Google Calendar is a very useful tool - but not if I have to go through every entry and add the rooms. I may just as well continue to maintain both calendars separately (hello, time sink) if I have to do that.

Set the web description.

Web description. Choose to use the main event description, or enter a new description for web notifications. This description would be used on an events calendar that is to be published on the church web site. Generally, this would be more of a general notification to be seen by those that may or may not be familiar with the church.

The main description should be going to the Google when the web description is not set. It doesn't look like it is. We'll get this written up.

Testing shows the description is going to the Google Calendar. It's in additional details.

The Where, is a limited space field. Since multiple rooms can be set, it created a problem with what to show.
