How do I get apostrophes in the email section?

I can't use words like 'can't' for example in my emails, because the apostrophe is not recognized and comes out as some spurious character.

Nor, because I am using a Mac I suppose, can I copy and paste the email with apostrophes intact, from another program.

Any solution to this?

I was able to recreate the issue using OSX 10.4. I'm not sure what it's doing, but if you type several apostrophes in a row, it eventually works. If you switch to HTML email instead of plain text (using the toggle on the Compose screen), it seems to work fine.

I'll look into this to see if it's something we are even able to fix. Meanwhile, use the HTML option.
