Printing reports directly, instead of through Adobe?

When you want to print a report (not a custom report, but one of the pre-programmed ones), it opens as a pdf file in Adobe, then you print it from there. This works fine, but my Treasurer, who is a stickler for efficiency ;) , asked me why it's necessary to take that second step of giving Adobe the print command, after already giving it in PowerChurch? She asked me if it's possible to bypass that step and have the report go directly to the printer from PowerChurch. It this possible?

The report should only open in Adobe if you have told it to "print preview" in the printer settings.

Do the following to change the behavior back to the default (of going straight to the printer):

- Start the IDS Client and log in
- When you get to the program window (the black background), go to File > Printers
- Click on the printer that you are using as the default
- Click the Preferences button
- In the white pane on the left side of the window, click General
- Uncheck "Print Preview"
- Click OK, Click OK
- Start PowerChurch Plus and try printing a report.

It should go straight to the printer.

Actually, there has apparently been a change made somewhere in the IDS settings on our end, because once I turned off the print preview, it still directly opens the PDF on my computer too.

I will do some research and follow up with the details here.

Mine also goes to .pdf, even without the box checked. I am posting this to be notified of follow-up answers.
