Finances on iPad

Post by VICRAMZ »

Is there a way to use PowerChurch Online to allow access to the accounting information via an iPad?

Does the IDS client work on an iPad?

Thanks . . .

Vic

From the Powerchurch Online downloads page here on Powerchurch:
There are no device-specific apps for the IDS Client. Instead, we have designed a mobile web access site to give you access to your Membership information (contact information, activities, and visitations) from any computer or device with web access.

m.mypowerchurch.com

This page will ask for:

Your organization's PowerChurch Online username
Your PowerChurch Plus username
Your PowerChurch Plus password
So as you can see, there is no IDS client for any mobile/pad type device unless the device runs a full Windows operating system or MacOS.

We are finishing the testing of the iPad client for PowerChurch Online. PowerChurch was designed for keyboard and mouse use, while the iPad is touch centric. I wouldn't recommend doing all your daily work on the iPad in PowerChurch, but to look up information and light data entry it works fine.

Search the iTunes for the Go-Global client by GraphOn. When prompted for a server name, use online.mypowerchurch.com. The same user name and passwords you use for the desktop client will work with the iPad client.

FWIW .. you need iOS 5.0 or later, or Android 3.0 and up for these clients.
