Appears new regulation effective 1-26-2014 state that:
Address: ALL CAPITAL LETTERS, no punctuations, one space between city and state, two spaces between state and ZIP code.

We're considering your Mailroom add on. The names in our database are not all caps. Will Mailroom convert all address items to caps or do we have to accomplish this manually?

Could you list what Postal Regulation or Manual you got that info from ??

That said, if you look at the screen shots for the product,
https://www.powerchurch.com/products/ma ... p#mailroom
it specifically asks how you want to format the address. One of the options is all UPPER CASE.

If you can list where you received this information, I have not seen anything requiring this. PowerChurch even without the mailroom add on will print mailing labels in all caps. It also removes most punctuation and so on. This has been the suggested label formats since the mid 90s at least.

Perhaps it is not in regulations. Letter received from USPO maybe just guidelines. Will try to include here a JPG files of the letter part I saved.

Seems that I don't understand how to insert an image file here.

Here is the text:
Automated mail processing machines read addresses on m.ailpieces from the bottom up and
will first look for a city, state, and ZIP Code. Then the machines look for a deflvery address. If the machines cant find either line, then your maiIp could he delayed or misrouted. Any information below the delivery address line (a logo a slogan, or an attention line) could confuse the machines and misdirect your mail,
Use the follo guidelines:
• Always put the address and the postage on the same side of your mailpiece.
• On a letter, the address should he parallel to the longest side.
• Al capital letters,
• No punctuation.
• At least lUpoint type.
• One space between city and state,
• Two spaces between state and ZIP Code.
• Simple type fonts.
• Left justified.
a Black ink on white or light paper
• No reverse type (white printing on a black background),
a If your address appears inside a window make sure there is at least 1Th clearance around the address, Sometimes parts of the address slip out of v behind the iMndow and mail processing machines can read the address.
• If you are using address labels, make sure you don’t cut off any important information,, Also make sure your labels are on straight Mail processing machines have trouble reading crooked or slanted information,
