Ok...new issue
When we add a person who is not part of our family, but also is not part of an activity, there is no way to add them temporarily to an activity for the day they attended....
Example...my family brings a child to church that is in the system. However, they have not been in a while and are no longer on the permanent roster. When we go to add them for checkin, we are unable to do so because they are not on the permanent roster. Therefore, they are not regular attenders and were in the non-attending status. Can this be revised to allow us to add them for that day to whatever activity they are part of.
Thanks again!

Have you limited the people to check in by their status code?
Membership -> Check In -> Setup -> Check In Options
Membership -> Check In -> Setup -> Check In Options

Re: Add a Non-Family Member
We have that we can check in the child if the parents were there....however, in the event that a family member from another family, which also have not been present for a while, and are not part of an activity, you cannot check them in w/out them being part of an activity list. The problem is, they are not part of an activity list. However, in Checkin when you try to check them in thru another family, they must already be part of an activity list. The problem is NOT that they cannot be checked in....if they were already on a list then they would go thru w/ no issues. So the issue is the fact that we cannot temporarily add a child to a grade level for a 1 day visit....it goes back to the change in Powerchurch that all individuals must be on the list permanently, instead of having the ability to add them temporarily...
Hope that clarifies...if not, I will update again trying to clear it up...

FWIW ... in regular Powerchurch, you DO have the ability to show that a person had attended on one day, there is no requirement that a person be a permanent member of the activity in order to reflect a one day attendance.
However, if you want to track something like attendance at Worship, then the person should be made a permanent member so that you can then follow up with visitors and members.

Re: Add a Non-Family Member
Neilz, I understand what you are saying....however, in a situation where a person is not on the list permanently...1st of all, there is a proble that you have to add a person on a permanent basis when they may come 1x every 3 months. While they may be consistent in their attendance every 3 months, they are not permanent regular attenders. It should be possible to add them to an activity as a non-family member for 1 day only to a given activity. Instead, when they come in w/ a family that is not their own, you cannot add them to an activity only 1x.
This happens all too much and the only way around it is, in fact, to add them to an activity on a permanent basis.
