Events vs Activites

What is the difference between an event and activity? Would an event be children's church and the activity be 2nd grade (for example) ?

An event is something that you want to schedule on the church calendar : Sunday School, VBS, Session or Church Council meetings, special services, etc.

An activity can be an event, such as VBS. They can relate one to one, or one to many. IE: Event: VBS Activity: VBS. Event: Sunday School, Activity: 2nd grade class, 3rd grade class, and so on.

Is there someplace that is causing confusion ??

We tried this for our Summer Kids event. Unfortunately, it did not work so well. We were able to check in as normal, but I never saw anything that verified you were checking them in for "MEGA Ministry Camp" vs 2nd Grade or whatever grade applied.

Is there something I did not understand?

If you are checking in to an event, then only the name of the event will be listed. If you are checking in to an activity, then the name of the activity will be listed.

Ok...for some reason we did not receive this as an option. We established the event to be each evening of the given week. During that time, the only items that showed up were the Grade levels that they are normally part of as the given activity name vs event name.
