Today, PowerChurch refuses to print checks for invoices. My printer is working fine on all other programs.
The error is: (15.2026.901)
PROGRAM: PCCHECKS
LINE: 129
ERROR: 1298
MESSAGE: Detail 1 band is too large to fit on page
I would appreciate any suggestions on how to correct this.

Re: Check Printing Errors
Naturally, when asking a question about an error, I make an error of my own in the process...right there in the subject line and on the word "error"...couldn't be more perfect if I planned it.
Ain't that always how it goes?
I started to correct it, but where's the fun in that?

Re: Check Printing Erros
That error just means your printer is set to a landscape page by default and PowerChurch is trying to print portrait. In the next Maintenance Release update, we are going to start catching that and explaining the situation on screen rather than letting the error handler, well... handle it.
So, anyway, just go to your Printer Properties or Printing Preferences and set the page layout default to Portrait.

Re: Check Printing Erros
Zorak,
That fixed it.
I'm glad this is being addressed in a future update. Thank you.
Another thing I wish you'd change in PowerChurch is the ability to override the defaults through the check printing dialog. I can change them anywhere else I print reports, etc. but not in the check printing dialog.
The only thing I had printed in landscape since the last time I printed a check in PowerChurch was a PDF in Microsoft Edge, but I didn't see anything that would have led me to believe the defaults were being changed rather than merely overriding them.
If the same situation happens again a year from now, I'll have to dig deep in my memory to recall that I have to go into Windows settings to revert the defaults rather than overriding them within the print dialog. At least that next maintenance update should do a better job of retrieving that memory if you haven't changed the override by then.
