Social Security Number on Check Stub

Is there a way to truncate the SS number on the pay stub so that the stub can be disposed of without having to shred it. The only way I can see to do this is to remove the MiscLine field from the check stub. If this is done what will be removed on computer generated checks for invoices? If this is not an option in V10.4 could it be considered for V11 and have the format for SS number be 123-45-XXXX, or something similar?

To remove the SSN from Payroll check stubs, go to File > Preferences > Accounting Setup > Payroll tab. Uncheck the "Print SSN on check stubs" box.
