Are the 9000-000 accounts "Detail" accounts or are they "Group" accounts?

I think I figured it out. On my Chart of Accounts, I have my transfer account listed as an expense instead of a transfer. However, I can't seem to change it. Any advice on that?

There's no way to change the account category once the account has been set up. To fix try creating a new 9000 series account set up properly as a transfer account. Then use the move account feature in Maintain Chart of Accounts to combine the existing 9000 account into the new account. You can then delete the existing 9000 account and then renumber the new account to 9000. The account should then work for you.
