Another Accounting Restart Question

Post by whoknows »

I have read several of the accounting restart threads on this site. I think that I understand what it entails, but I have a question as well. Since the contributions module is not affected, is it possible to post from contributions to the accounting funds again after the restart? Normally, we enter contributions and "Post contributions". Then they show up in the Accounting "Post Transactions". Is it possible to have this show up in the list of "Post Transactions" after the restart?
Thanks!

Once you post transactions from Contributions, there is no way to recover those transactions again. That said, if you restart accounting using the final balances in the system, and if you had reconciled everything prior to the restart, there would be no need to redo transactions as you're starting with all the income having already been accounted (sic) for !!
