Accounts Payable

I am inputting all of our church bills as an account payable using Maintain Open Invoice. Each bill already has a vendor record, and I set them to pay now.

When I open up power church, one of my quick displays(Power church today) is current accounts payable invoices. I was expecting to see all the bills I input so that I can keep a running list of bills due and their date, but I only see some on the intial quick display, and I am not sure why. I don't understand what I am doing wrong.

I don't use the Today tab, myself.

I see that in the fine print on the menu it says that it will display the invoices "that are due or will be due within the next week".

Does that line up with what you are seeing?

Not exactly. I thought by having the TODAY screen come up when I open the app, I could see the checkbook blance, and what bills are due. But I only see some of the bills and I am not sure what is different between them. I am sure that I must be doing something different between invoices, but not sure what.

It's not a big thing, but thought it would be nice to see them at aglance.

John is correct, PowerChurch Today is pulling a list of AP invoices that are unpaid (no check printed yet) and currently due or will be due in the next week.

If you have things not showing in the list, they probably are not due within the next 7 days, or they already have a check printed.

I have noticed that the Power Church Today doesn't always update when it's opened...even when you start up PC. I usually have to click the refresh box to get it to display the proper figures, especially the checkbook balance. This is a possible bug (or feature :) ) I don't know if anyone else is seeing the same thing.

The PcToday lists only automatically update after a period of time. Some people go in and out of the program several times a day and some of the sections take a while to calculate, and we didn't want to slow down your machine when it wasn't needed.

Here is how often the different sections update:
New Families: 12 hours
Birthday List: 12 Hours
Anniversaries: 12 hours
Events list: 1 Hour
Task List: 1 Hour
Forum Posts: 3 hours
Contribution Graphs: 12 Hours
Checking Balance: 12 Hours
AP Invoices: 12 Hours

Version 11 adds three new sections to PC Today
Check-in Current Class Counts: 5 Minutes
Check-in Administrative Check Out: 5 Minutes
Volunteers needing background checks: 12 Hours
