Detail vs Group

the former treasurer posted Donations into CONTRIBUTION INCOME 4010 GROUP---how can i change them to DETAIL. I just setup Contribution Income 4010-001 Detail. She never used ACCOUNTING only CONTRIBUTION . Darryl PCv9 wanting to start using all features of PC.

And it turned out that the information was posted in Contributions only, not in Fund Accounting, because you can't post to a GROUP account in Fund Accounting.

Check to see if that is the case.

If so, you can simply post the information (for the first time) in Fund Accounting by going to Fund Accounting / Enter Transactions:

DB 01-1110-000 checking
CR 01-4010-001 income

Then, go into Contributions, and change the Contribution Fund to point to the correct income account, for subsequent postings.

If these were posted to fund accounting but won't post there because it is a group account, you can go into the Modify Unposted Transactions in Fund Accounting and change the group account number to the new detail account number.

You can change the income account on that contribution fund to the new detail account so that posting future contributions will go to the correct account.
