Beginning balances in new funds

Post by dbcwayx »

Using Ver. 11.1

I have just gone through a restart of accounting setup and think I am satisfied with those results.
I created a new fund 02 to handle some CD investments as I want fund 01 to deal with my checking account only. Now when I set up my COA for fund 02, I find no way to enter beginning balances for these CDs.

Any suggestions.

Since you restarted accounting, and did not create this fund at that time, you'll have to create transactions to do this.

I did a search on 'Beginning Balance" and found this thread which should help you:

Thanks.

I guess I overlooked something in the restart setup. I did not see an option to setup an additional fund. Only things that related to fund 01.

Followed your suggestion and got it setup.
