Can't Backup

Post by Gleno »

Version 8.5
Windows ME

When I try to backup accounting files to zip drive I get the following:

OLE error code 0x80040154: Class not
registered. OLE object is being ignored
Record number 33

If I click OK and try to complete backup, on the last step I get:

PROGRAM: FRM_PCBACKUP.BACKUP
LINE: 80
ERROR: 1925
MESSAGE: Unknown Member OLE_ANIMATION

I have not idea what this means or what to do.

Normally, when you get an OLE error like this, it means that the files used to control the backup aren't installed properly. You can run the netsetup.exe located in the same directory as the PowerChurch program file, and that will reinstall those files.

Post by melloby »

Hi,

I have a lexar jump drive that connects to my USB port. However, it is on the F drive and PCP only backup to the A or E drive.

Any suggestions or solutions?

Thx

In order for a USB drive to work, it needs to be recognized by Windows as a removable drive. If is being detected as a regular hard drive, it won't work. I'm not sure what the difference is, or how to specify it, but that's how it works. I'm assuming your E drive is a CD-R/RW? You'll be able to back up to that.

Hi,

The computer recognizes the flash drive a removable disk on the F drive, but PCP only allows backup to A or E drive

I am installing the flash drive after PCP starts. I will try backing the data up before PCP starts

Try installing the drive before PCP starts .. that may be part of the issue.
