how to spend $ in an income accnt

Hi
I wrote a cheque for $348.99
I need to use the money from 01-4620-000 (misc. income)
I was going to enter the transaction as
CR 01-1110-000 $358.99
DB 01-4620-000 $358.99
but wasn't sure if that is correct or if I need to be DB expense accnts...

4620 is not restricted so can i just
CR 1110
DB 6072 (misc. expense)

Yes! This is exactly what you want to do! Although an expense account more specific than "miscellaneous" will help track expenses more accurately.

yes all other expence accnts are specific... this was a 1 time deposit and expence that didn't fit anywhere ....
