negitive asset balance

Preparing the year end reports I discovered that I have a fund with a negative asset amount. The Income and Expense balance for the year and the checking is at 0. How do I correct the negative asset for the year end?

You don't give enough information to figure this out.

Are you saying that your total Assets are negative?
If so, then your Equity plus Liabilities are also negative? correct?

This is not necessarily a problem.

If you start with $100 in your checking, and your income-over-expenses are $200, then you will end up with a -$100 in that fund's checking. If you share the same checking account between funds, you can actually show a negative balance in one fund.

Which asset is negative? What are your total assets? What are your total liabilities and equity?
