Bank Reconciliation Error - Two Simultaneous Sessions

During a recent bank reconcile, the user inadvertently had two reconcile windows running simultaneously. They completed the reconcile and printed the report ok, but then when closing all their other windows discovered there was a reconcile window still open hidden behind everything. It still shows the records as they were part ways through the reconcile process. Instead of hitting postpone before jumping to another task (creating a journal), they opened a second reconcile window.

The question - can we reset the current reconcile process (it shows records not reconciled that have been successfully reconciled). Otherwise, I guess we have to restore an old database an start the reconcile process from scratch.

The only way I have found to "reset the current reconcile process" is to:

1) restore a backup from before the reconcile process

-or-

2) select all transactions (not just the unreconciled ones) and manually un-clear them in the reconciliation window.
