Payroll Direct Deposit
I want to set up direct deposit of payroll. I understand you need a service - Vanco being one of them. Is there any other companies/ways to do this or is Vanco, 'it'. Janine

If you go into the built-in help (or the printed manual), under the item: Setting Up Direct Deposit under Payroll, you can find this:stjohnsluth wrote:I want to set up direct deposit of payroll. Code: Select all
The file format that PowerChurch Plus creates, by default, meets the Vanco Services file specifications. If using another service, you can customize the file output by clicking the File Information button.

Re: Payroll Direct Deposit
I would strongly suggest you consider using Vanco for this service. It's very easy to use and interface is very simple to either enter checks manually or transfer a file. We pay 7 employees every two weeks and it takes me about 5 minutes to enter the direct deposit amounts through Vanco. If you have larger payrolls then you can easily generate the file to upload to Vanco for direct deposits.
Vanco doesn't do any of the tax calculations, you simply enter the amount of the check that would be the total if you printed a check. PC will do all the tax calculations if you have it set up under payroll and you have to send the tax withholding to IRS. Therefore, the cost for Vanco is cheaper than other companies that actually handle all the tax deposits. Actually, you can use Vanco to set up other direct deposits, not just for payroll.
