W-2 Missing 403(b) amount in box 12
I am using Version 11.5 and don't believe I have changed anything in Payroll other than amounts since last year, however the Deferred Comp 403(b) amount is not showing in Box 12 of the W-2. Have I missed something? Thanks in advance for your help. Miss Betty

I would take a look at the Item Description you have setup for the 403(b) taxable benefit, and make sure the Box 12 setting is there.missbetty50 wrote:I am using Version 11.5 and don't believe I have changed anything in Payroll other than amounts since last year, however the Deferred Comp 403(b) amount is not showing in Box 12 of the W-2. Item description is TSA - 403 (B), it is an Non Taxable, Employer Liability. I have reviewed last years W-2, and it was reported in Box 12a with a code E, I know that is the correct code, but I can't find where the "Code E" is pulled from in PC+ in 11.5. Looking back in my 10.4 version, which I haven't used since December 2012, it is on the Maintain Item Description/W2 Information tab. Thanks for your help. the TSA is only tax-free when it is distributed, not when it is contributed. The TSA should be listed as a taxable benefit.
Here's a knowledgebase article that goes over setting this up in Powerchurch v11.x:

Please note how to setup the employer contribution, and the taxable benefit pay items.

Thank you very much, I will work with this and see if I can find how to take care of it in 11.5. You have steered me in the right direction, looks like I need to talk to an accountant also. Have a blessed weekend. Miss Betty
