Sample chart of accounts

Post by jfoster182 »

I currently have a chart of accounts but would like to see if anyone would be willing to send me a copy of theirs so that I can see what I can do to make ours better?

Thanks!

Matt ... could you forward a copy here ... we'll be redoing ours at the end of the year, and getting something to look from someone who's an expert would be great.

Sample Chart of Accounts

Post by Gayle »

Hi Matt:

I am having a problem with entering the 2005 budget in the Chart of Accounts. I keep getting the message that the account (Income, Tithes) is not active. What does that mean? If it is not too much trouble my I have a copy of Chart also?!

This just sounds like you need to go into the Funds Accounting module, under Maintain Chart of Accounts. Find the account in the list. You'll see a scrollable window that lists all the funds that the account could be used under, select the fund where the account is to be used.. Click on the details button on that fund, in the next window, if the box that shows whether the account is active under that fund, is not checked, check it, and save the change The account should now be active.

Gayle,

Did Neil's answer solve your problem? Would you still like to see a copy of my chart of accounts? If so I need your email address :)

I am currently revising our chart of accounts but would like to see if anyone would send me a copy of theirs so that I can see if I have missed anything? Is anyone using the payroll feature?

Thanks
TBM
