Accounting Periods

I have not closed period 2 as I am waiting for the Parish to agree to the numbers. Can I go ahead and enter transactions for period 3 or do I have to wait until period 2 is closed?

I assume you are using V.9. If so, sure. You can enter transactions in V.9 up to 12 months in advance. When you run reports, only the transactions that have posted for the month (s) you request will show on the reports. For example, you can post transactions to period 3, yet still run reports for period 2 without worrying that the period 3 transactions posted to them.
