Transfer Expense

Post by MWH »

Last month one of our ministries purchased a projector on a credit card. The transaction was recorded to the correct fund and was posted accordingly. However, the leadership of the church just now realized that the purchase needs to be spread across more than one ministry. Is there a way to transfer a portion of the expense to their other ministry fund, or do I have to go back and reverse the entire credit card payment that the projector purchase was part of and re-enter to reflect the desired split of the projector transaction?

Are these to other expense accounts, or a completely different fund with a separate checking account, etc

Both are part of the same physical checking account, however the purchase is currently hitting fund 17 (Night Training School) and needs to share the expense with fund 1 (general fund, Sunday Service).
