Vacation Pay setup

Post by MVA »

Hi,
I'm guessing this is a Canadian thing? We have Vacation pay... a %. I set it up in the payroll, but don't see a way to have it 'held'. Is there a way to have it calculated & held? Thank you, Debby

You can assign it to the person, but UNCHECK the pay item under Maintain List of Employees Pay Items tab. It will not process unless you check that item.

If you have it setup as a percentage of something that may change, it should recalculate whenever you decide to use it. In fact, I think it will recalculate even if you don't have the checkbox checked to use it. Not sure, haven't tried it :)
