Where to enter in Debit Card transactions

Hey guys! Our church primarly uses debit cards to pay for items and to pay bills. Where is the apropriate place to enter in debit card transactions? Fund accounting's "Enter transactions" or should I use something in Accounts payable? Or something entirely different?

Hey guys! Our church primarly uses debit cards to pay for items and to pay bills. Where is the apropriate place to enter in debit card transactions? Fund accounting's "Enter transactions" or should I use something in Accounts payable? Or something entirely different?

You should be using Manual Checks in Accounts Payable. This also tracks who you are buying from, and keeps all your purchases in one place as there may be a time you have to issue a check to any entity that does not accept credit/debit cards.
