How can I change a payroll check date? year was entered on the check incorrectly.

How can I change a payroll check date? year was entered on the check incorrectly.

Was the check cashed ??

If so you should

1. void the existing check from Payroll.
2. Process payroll for that employee using the correct dates, but select MANUAL CHECK and use the same number as the original check.
3. Print the paystub on blank paper. Since its a manual check you should not get the prompt to PRINT the check.
4. Post payroll.

If the check was NOT cashed.

1. Void the check in payroll
2. Process payroll for that employee using the correct date.
3. Print the new check.
