Payroll Cheques

Post by Admin@KCC »

We just switched all our accounting to PC +. Yesterday I posted staff payroll but didn't print the cheques. I've looked through the options on the payroll module, but can't seem to locate them to print them off today.
Any ideas where they're located?
Thanks for your assistance.

I'm trying to figure out how you were able to get out of Payroll without printing checks or printing paystubs. I suspect that you just printed the paystubs, right??

You have to print the checks at the time you Process Payroll. You're only recourse now is to manually write out the checks.

I didn't print stubs as I assumed I could go back into the module and print them off today.
I can't even find the option to void the entries or what the amounts of the cheques are so I could write them out manually...
Next payroll run I'll know to print them off immediately...

You should be able to get a report of the check amounts from the Payroll Check Register report found in Payroll Reports.

That said ... are you SURE that you processed the Payroll?? One of the good things about the system is that if you DID NOT print the checks, or payroll stubs, the system WILL NOT SAVE any data.

If, somehow, you got past that and still were able to create payroll entries, and you then POSTED Payroll to Funds Accounting. You should be able to see the Payroll Transactions there. If you DO NOT see them, and there is NOTHING in the Payroll modules unposted payroll list, then you didn't process payroll at all.

Thank you for clarifying that! After checking the "process payroll" screen, I see it's not done yet! I just gave a huge sigh of relief!
I appreciate you taking the time to explain more details about the payroll module to me.
