How do you temporarily deactivate an employee?

Post by StokedaleChurch »

I need to temporarily deactivate the pastor as an employee. He has temporarily volunteered not to take a salary. How do you do that?

Well, you can just not select him when you run payroll. However, are you paying any retirement or housing allowance but not salary? This does make a difference on the final suggestion.

There is no retirement or housing. I thought maybe there was a button to click or something of that nature to deactivate an employee but just not selecting him during a payroll run is easy enough.

Thanks.
