2018 Federal Income Tax Withholding Tables

Post by NeilZ »

As was noted in the last Powerchurch Newsletter from last week, the IRS has released preliminary 2018 Withholding Tables in Notice 1035. You can download the notice at the link shown.

To update your Federal Income Tax Withholding, use the tutorial found here:

Please note, the Social Security and Medicare percentages did NOT change this year.

I'm confused about 2018 withholding allowance, should this be set to $0 since the personal exemption has been eliminated for 2018? :?: :?: :?:

The personal exemption, and the withholding allowances are two different things. As you will see in the above referenced IRS Notice, the withholding allowance that should be added to the Deduction and Exemption Information tab of the tax table should be $4150.00 since Powerchurch uses the ANNUAL tables to calcuate FITW.
