We are in the process of setting up Direct Deposit with our bank and have tried two payrolls with just a few employees to make sure it works smoothly. We've been unsuccessful to date... The file will not transfer so I have had to manually enter paycheck amounts within the bank program.
I was able to talk with Tech Support at our Bank and they said there is a problem with the NACHA file. Our file that we are trying to transfer is all on one line and apparently there needs to be a carriage return after every 94th character. Is this something that I can address myself within PowerChurch in Payroll set-up? We have everything else all set up but it appears the file we are trying to transfer is the problem.
Thank you for all of your help!

You should be able to turn that on from the File -> Preferences -> Accounting Setup -> Payroll Direct Deposit tab. There's a checkbox there to Use a CR LF record terminator.christybeth wrote:We are in the process of setting up Direct Deposit with our bank and have tried two payrolls with just a few employees to make sure it works smoothly. Re: NACHA - carriage return after 94th character
I was able to locate and select that. Then I had a window pop up that said "WARNING: Default equity account is not in all funds." I have not seen this warning in the past. Could you please advise on this now? I do have a few employees that I am still setting up the account info for Direct Deposit but I do not think that is the problem? Thanks again!!

There is a Default Equity Account setting on the Accounting Setup Options screen on the Fund Accounting tab. The warning that you are seeing is just letting you know that the account that is currently assigned as the default equity account isn't used in all of your accounting funds. It's not necessarily a problem, if you have equity accounts set up in all of your other accounting funds that you plan to use.
