pastor pay package

I am just setting up Power Church for the first time. I want to get the pastor pay package right!!
Can someone detail how to do that? I have set up his salary as taxable with the appropriate deductions, but now I am thinking I need to set up his deductions as income and his net salary as taxable...
Can anyone help??
